What is Campaign Workshop?

Campaign Workshop is a complete toolkit for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition dungeon masters and players. It pairs a full campaign management app with Masterwork VTT, an immersive first-person 3D virtual tabletop where parties explore dungeons, fight monsters, and roleplay in a fully rendered 3D world, not the usual top-down grid.

• Character Builder with full 5e race, class, background, feat, and ability score improvement support, plus a guided level-up wizard for ongoing campaigns.
• Party Loot for shared inventory, currency tracking, and item distribution between players.
• NPC Generator that produces stat blocks, portraits, and personality details on demand.
• Campaign Codex for worldbuilding notes, locations, factions, and a visual relationship map between characters.
• Encounter Builder and combat tracker that hands off cleanly to the VTT for live play.

Masterwork VTT: A 3D Virtual Tabletop

Click Launch VTT from any campaign to enter Masterwork VTT, a real-time multiplayer 3D tabletop built with Three.js. Players walk their characters through dungeons in first person, open doors, search containers, trigger traps, and cast spells with full visual feedback. Dynamic lighting, line of sight, fog of war, and physics-based movement come standard.

A built-in spell engine handles concentration, area-of-effect templates, saving throws, healing, and condition tracking automatically. Combat is server-authoritative, so dice rolls, hit points, and turn order stay in sync across every player at the table.

Bring Your Own Maps

The companion Masterwork VTT Blender plugin lets you build custom 3D maps and export them as .3dvt files, a single container bundling the model, navigation grid, interactable doors and containers, lighting, and audio. Upload directly into your session and start playing.

Free to Use

Campaign Workshop and Masterwork VTT are free for individuals and tables. A Pro tier adds advanced features for power users, and a DM Pro tier adds tools for dungeon masters running multiple campaigns.
